Closing Old and Starting New Plans

Quick Steps

1. Click Planning
2. Select the relevant team from the development plans list
3. Click Edit
4. Publish the Plan (headteacher only)
5. Download a copy of your published plan
6. That's it! Make the changes to your plan ready for the new academic year.

The development plans in Perspective are flowing documents, so there is no process of archiving a plan and starting a new one. You'll need to publish your current plan and make the necessary changes for the new academic year.

Before making changes, you should first publish your current plan, so you have a hard copy that you can save.

You can publish the plan by clicking the Edit button under your plan on the main Planning dashboard before clicking the Publish button. You can then download a copy of it by clicking Download.

Once you have published and downloaded your current plan, keep it somewhere safe. You can now update your plan for the new academic year by removing old targets and adding new ones.
