  2. Click Edit alongside the template you wish to alter.

If your school has existing text or grade statements that were previously set up or that are used on other templates, you can add those by clicking Add Existing and selecting the statement type before pulling it through to this template.

Alternatively, you can create new statements using the Add New option. When clicked, the right-hand panel will expand. Give your statement a title and choose whether it is a grade statement or a text statement.

Grade statements use grades to assess that statement, for example, highly effective, effective, or not very effective.

Text statements are single text boxes designed for you to give more detail rather than selecting a specific grade.

If you chose to add a text statement, a description field will appear. This is where you describe what that statement means, so your staff have context when filling it out.

If you chose to add a grade statement, you need to choose a criteria scale. This dropdown picks from a default list of grades within your account. When you select one, you should fill out the descriptor box alongside each grade. This is the text that appears when filling in that statement, so your staff know exactly what it means to achieve each grade.

For example: If your statement is called 'Pupil Behaviour' and the grade is Above Expectation, what exactly does a staff member require to get that grade?

If your school uses a custom grade scale that isn't available, contact perspectivesupport@angelsolutions.co.uk with the details of the grade scale, and we can add this for you.

Once you have added your descriptors and you are happy with the statement, click Save Statement.

The statement will then be embedded in your template.

If you need to make any changes, click the three dots alongside your statement and select Edit or Remove.

When you have finished adding content, click Save & Finish.
