TILDA Partial Success Upload

If you’ve uploaded your SEF document and received a Some SEF Sections Couldn't Be Imported message, this means TILDA scanned your document and identified certain sections that matched the Ofsted 2025 SEF layout, but not all of them.

Why This Happens

Partial imports usually occur because:

  • The uploaded SEF didn’t include all of the Ofsted 2025 sections.

  • The document used a previous framework (e.g. EIF) instead of the new 2025 format.

  • Some sections contained very little or no text, so TILDA couldn’t identify or expand upon them.

  • Formatting or structure (e.g. videos or images) prevented clear recognition.

What You Can Do Next

When a partial import occurs, you’ll have three options at the bottom of the screen:

  • Insert Available Drafts – Continue and insert the sections that were successfully identified into your SEF. You can then fill in any gaps directly within Perspective at any time.

  • Cancel – Stop the upload process. You can fill in any gaps on your external document and reupload later.

  • Re-upload – Choose a different document you already have, such as a more complete or correctly formatted version.

If you choose Insert Available Drafts, those sections will appear in your SEF with a new 'Last Edited' date, allowing you to review and refine them using TILDA: Refine. Click here for more information on refining with TILDA.
