Editing a Professional Standards Template

Our Quick How-To Tutorial

Perspective allows you to edit your professional standards templates quickly and easily.

The most important thing to know when editing templates is that you should not make edits to a template that your staff have already used.

You can make small changes, such as spelling corrections, but we advise against making large-scale changes if the template has been used.

Quick Steps

  1. Click Perf Mgmt.
  2. Click Edit Templates within the Professional Standards panel.
  3. Click Edit next to the template you wish to change.
  4. Save any changes made regularly.

Need More Detailed Help?

To edit a template, click Perf Mgmt and  Edit Templates from the Professional Standards panel.

From the resulting page, click All Templates. You can then click Edit next to the template you wish to change.

You are unable to edit any of the system's default templates or templates promoted across an entire MAT or group of schools. However, you can create copies of them and then edit the copy. For more information on this, view this guide.

Perspective allows you to copy existing templates. This means you can create a copy of the
template you need to edit and then edit the copy without affecting the original. You can then switch the original one OFF, so staff only use your new version.

To create a copy of a template, within the Templates page, click New Template and then select Copy From Existing.

You will then be taken inside this copied version of the template and any changes you make are inside a brand-new copied template that hasn’t been used before.
