How do I set up a user within Perspective?
Click on Settings (Cog Icon) and then select Manage Users. Then select Create New User. Once you have completed the details click Save. You will then need to send the new user their activation email by clicking on Send Welcome Email. For more information click here: Setting up your users.
What permissions can I give to members of staff?
Permissions are granted via the Permissions tab within a staff members profile. Click here for more information on this.
How do I send out the login details to a new user?
After creating a new User and clicking Save. The Send Welcome Email button on the right-hand side will become available. You can find this at any time by going to Settings > Manage Users > Edit (Next to the user) > Send Welcome Email
How do I reset my password?
The quickest way to reset your password is to click on the Forgotten password link on the Perspective login page.
How do I set up a new team?
To create a new team go to Settings > Manage Teams > Create New Team. You will then be able to add users to that team by searching within the search box labelled Add user to this team. For more information please see our Setting up a team guide.
How do I archive a user?
To archive a user go to Settings (cog icon) > Manage Users > Find the user that you would like to archive and then click the archive button. *Only the headteacher or an administrator with the 'Admin' permission are able to archive a user. For more information see our How to Archive a User guide.
How do I edit my account details?
You can edit the name and email address on your account, by click on the Edit Details button on your homepage.
How do I edit a user's permissions?
SLT Users can edit standard user's permissions by going to Settings > Manage Users > Edit > Permissions. For more information see our User Permissions Guide.
My access is denied when I log in, why is this?
When logging in, if you are presented with a message stating your access is denied, it's because you have been set as a Resource within Perspective. If you speak to the headteacher or a member of staff with higher administrative rights, they can undo this via Settings > Manage Users > Select the name of the relevant staff member > Untick the box marked Resource > Save.
Our headteacher has changed, how do we update the details?
The account holder or headteacher can update their own details from within the account at any time. However, if they have left or are unable to access the account please contact our support team on perspectivesupport@angelsolutions.co.uk and they will update the details for you.
In your email please include the school name and DfE number, as well as the full name and email address of the new head. Our support team will then run some checks and will let you know when the updates have been made.
