How do I access a Team Plan?
To access a team plan, you must be part of a team that has the Team has to complete a Plan setting enabled. Speak to the current team leader or a member of the SLT if you need access to a team.
How do I publish my plan?
Only the headteacher can publish the SDP, and only the team leader can publish a team plan.
This is done by navigating to Planning, selecting the relevant team from the dropdown menu and clicking Edit. Once the plan edit page loads, click the Publish option.
How do I close my current plan and start a new one?
The development plans in Perspective are flowing documents, so there is no process of archiving a plan and starting a new one. You'll need to publish your current plan and make the necessary changes for the new academic year. See our Closing Old and Starting New Plans guide for more information.
How do I update my plan?
You can update your plan by navigating to the Planning page, selecting the relevant team from the dropdown and clicking Edit. From here, you can add new targets or edit existing ones.
How do I find whole school targets?
Your whole school targets can be found on the Planning > All Targets page. Whole school targets are normal team targets assigned to the Appraisal team. If you use the filters at the top of the page, you can search for all targets assigned to the Appraisal team, and the whole school targets should be returned.
How do I add costs/staff time to my School Development Plan?
Costs and staff time are added to actions within a target; the target then shows you the total of the costs. For example, if you add three actions to a target, all with a cost of £100, the Costs tab on the target would display the whole thing as costing £300. To add a cost to an action, open your desired target, click Actions tab, and add a new action. When saved, you can add costs/staff time. If you then add this target to your School Development Plan, the cost and staff time of the target will also be taken across to your SDP.
Can I use AI to create targets for my Development Plan?
Yes. When editing a Development Plan, you can use TILDA to help create a new target from a prompt you provide. Go to Planning, edit the relevant plan, then click Add Targets > Create a new target. From here, you can enter a prompt and use TILDA to generate a draft target.
TILDA can help create the target title, description, strategy, success criteria and actions. You can review and edit the generated content before adding the target to your plan.
Does TILDA automatically add the target to my plan?
No. TILDA creates a draft target for you to review first. You can then check and amend the title, description, strategy, success criteria and actions before adding the target to your Development Plan.
