Once you've populated your SEF content, either by uploading a document or entering information manually, TILDA can help you by suggesting Objectives to include in your SEF.
How to use TILDA to Suggest Objectives
- Navigate to Self Evaluation > School.
- Click into the SEF section you'd like TILDA to suggest an Objective for.
- Navigate to the Objectives section.
- Click 'TILDA: Suggest'.
- In the TILDA Suggest pop-up, choose what TILDA will use to guide its suggestions:
-
School Context Section
TILDA uses your current content to help suggest Objectives. This option requires text to already exist in the section. -
SEF Section Judgement
TILDA will also reference your current section judgement grade into any Objectives suggested, so if you haven't yet assigned a grade and intend to do so, it's recommended you do this before suggesting an objective so TILDA can tie in that judgement to its recommendation. -
Answers to Bite-Sized Questions (BSQs)
Answering all BSQs could improve TILDA's suggestion. This option will only be available if BSQs have been completed for the current framework. -
Latest Ofsted Report
TILDA can use content from the Latest Ofsted Report to make tangible Objective suggestions.
If you see the message “Why can’t I use this?” next to any option, it means either:
No Bite-Sized Questions have been completed yet for this framework.
The section doesn’t currently contain any text to refine. Try adding or importing content first, then reopen the refine tool.
The Latest Ofsted Report is unavailable.
You have not yet made a SEF Section Judgement.
You can also provide additional context (optional) - for example:
Areas to emphasise or de-emphasise
Tone preferences (e.g. more formal or concise)
Points to improve or avoid
Understanding the Suggestion View
After TILDA completes its suggestions, you’ll see a list of suggested Objectives for your SEF section alongside supporting rationale.
From here, you can click on the Objective's name to review or click on the three dots to select one of the following options: review the suggestion, add & link the suggestion directly to your SEF section, or remove the suggestion.
When reviewing a suggested Objective, you'll be presented with the Objective in full. This shows the Title, Description and Strategy, as well as a complete rationale as to why TILDA has suggested this Objective for your SEF Section.
You can choose to Remove the suggestion, or Add & Link it to your SEF directly if you're happy with the contents.
