Create a Feedback Record
You can create feedback using the Add New Feedback button on the Performance Management landing page or your personal Dashboard in the Dev. Feedback tab
To get to the "Performance Management landing page", click "Perf. Mgmt" on the blue navigation bar in Perspective
To get started, choose the template you want to use and who the feedback will be for - feedback can be for an individual or a team. Click Add Feedback to begin the process.
You will then be taken to the empty feedback record so that you can populate this with your feedback. What you see on this page will depend on the template you selected for the feedback. Currently, it is in a Draft state and is only accessible by yourself and anyone else listed as providing the feedback.
You can upload attachments at the bottom of the page, and any details you selected earlier can be updated on the right.
Once you've added your feedback and are ready, you can finalise the feedback using the green Finalise button at the bottom-right of the page.
When you finalise the feedback, the recipient(s) will be notified and can access the record on their dashboard. SLT users will also have visibility of it.
Anyone in School can create feedback.
View feedback records
You can view any records you can access by clicking the See All Feedback button on the Performance Management landing page.
To get to the "Performance Management landing page", click "Perf. Mgmt" on the blue navigation bar in Perspective.
Here, you can view a list of feedback records and use various filters to find particular records you may be looking for.
If you have SLT access, you'll be able to see all finalised feedback records from across the School. Otherwise, you'll just see feedback where you're receiving or providing the feedback.
Set up Development Feedback Templates
SLT users can manage the templates used via the Edit Templates button, accessible from the Performance Management landing page.
To get to the "Performance Management landing page", click "Perf. Mgmt" on the blue navigation bar in Perspective.
Here, you'll see the templates available in your account. You can preview these by clicking the three dots on the right and turn off any templates you won't be using with the On/Off switch.
To create your own template, use the green New Template button at the top of the page.
You can create a new template from scratch or use an existing template as a starting point.
Top tips and FAQs
-
What if I need someone who's not SLT to access a feedback record, even though the feedback isn't for them?
To selectively provide access to certain individuals, you can add them to the "Feedback From" list when editing or initially creating the feedback record. You can add whoever you like to this list, and even if they don't have SLT permissions, they'll have access to this particular record.

I'm SLT. Why can't I see a feedback record someone created?
Most of the time, this happens because the feedback record is still in a "Draft" state and hasn't been "Finalised", so you should check with the individual who created the record whether this is the case.
If it has been finalised, it may indicate that you don't currently have SLT permissions. This is something your headteacher can update via their account.
Although SLT can view all finalised feedback records by default, it is also possible that your headteacher has altered these settings for your school.
The headteacher can update these settings within the "School Preferences" section of the settings (cog).
3. Did you Know - If you're on a tablet or mobile, you can use your camera to capture evidence?
At the bottom of your desired development feedback template, you can add related files. Tap on Drag & Drop files here. You'll be given the option to take a photo or video or import it directly from your photo library. A photo or video can serve as concrete evidence to support your written feedback
