Passwords alone are no longer enough to keep accounts secure. Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of protection by requiring a second form of verification whenever you log in.
Even if your password is stolen or guessed, hijackers can’t access your account without this second factor—usually a temporary code sent to your email or an authenticator app.
This simple but powerful security step helps protect against:
-
Phishing attacks
-
Data breaches
-
Unauthorised access
Whether you’re using Perspective Lite, Perspective, or Observatory, the setup process is identical.
Setting up Two-Factor Authentication
-
Navigate to Settings > Account Settings.
-
Scroll down to Two-Factor Authentication.
Step 1: Verify Your Email Address
Before enabling 2FA, you must verify your email:
-
On the account settings page, click Send verification email now.
-
Open the verification link sent to your email.
Please allow a few minutes for delivery, especially during peak times. If you don’t receive it, contact our Support Team.
Once verified, you’ll see a confirmation page.
Return to Perspective and choose whether to complete 2FA setup using your email address or an authenticator app.
Step 2: Choose Your Verification Method
Option A – Use Your Email Address
-
Ensure “Use your registered email address” is selected.
-
(If you haven’t already verified your email, click Send Verification Email first.)
-
Click Send Code.
-
A 6-digit authentication code will be sent to your registered email.
- Copy the code and enter it into the field in Perspective.
- Click Authenticate.
Your two-factor authentication is now active!
Each time you sign in, a new code will be sent to your registered email automatically.
Option B – Use an Authenticator App
-
Select “Use an authenticator app”.
-
Download an app such as Microsoft Authenticator or Google Authenticator on your mobile device.
-
In Perspective, scan the QR code displayed, or manually enter the 32-character code shown (spacing and casing do not matter).
-
Your app will generate a one-time code. Enter it into the confirmation box in Perspective.
-
Click Authenticate.
Your two-factor authentication is now active!
Each time you sign in, open your authenticator app to retrieve the latest code.
