Cascading is a term we use in relation to objectives. It allows you to take a team's objectives and make copies of them, which you can tweak and assign to other teams. This is a quick way of making existing objectives available to other teams, saving you the hassle of writing them several times.
Please note - personal objectives cannot be cascaded.
Quick Steps
- Open the objective you'd like to Cascade
- Click Full view and then Cascade Objective
- Make any necessary changes to the objective and then use the Team drop-down to select the team you want to cascade the new version to
- Click Add to confirm the team. You can add multiple teams
- Click Create Cascade Objectives

To cascade an objective, open it and click the Cascade Objectives button. When clicked, a copy of the objective will appear with an Objectives Teams section next to it.
Make any necessary changes to your objective and then use the Team drop-down to select the team you want to cascade the objective to. Once selected, click Add. This will embed that team on the objective. You can add as many teams as you need by repeating this process.
Once you have selected the teams, click Create Cascaded Objectives.
This will take you back to the original objective you copied. You can check that the cascade was successful by clicking the Objectives tab. This will show you any cascaded versions of the objectives, assigned to their new team. Each new team will then have their own copy of those objectives, with a unique reference number.
