Development Feedback records can have one of two statuses that determine who they are available to. These statuses are Draft or Finalised.
It's important to note that we are only talking about the visibility of a record. Only staff set as Feedback From can edit an observation.
Setting a record as draft means only staff set as Feedback From can see it. Draft records are classed as unfinished and can't be viewed by anyone other than those people.
Please Note. If you set a record as a draft with someone other than yourself as the Feedback From and then close the record, you will no longer be able to access it.
To publish a record to the relevant audience, within the record, click Finalise. Check you are happy with the information in the pop-up before clicking Confirm.
This will trigger an email to the person or team in the Feedback For field, alerting them that the record has been finalised.
Finalised records are visible to the following people:
- Any staff listed as Feedback From or Feedback For.
- The headteacher.
- SLT members (Unless the headteacher has switched off this permission within your school preferences page).
- The performance reviewer of the staff member the feedback is for (they can see records when creating and editing the Performance Review).
